Hear ye, hear ye!

Our mission is to educate and preserve the rich golden heritage of North Carolina! We've been doing this through the annual NC Gold Festival since 2004, but we want to expand our knowledge!

In 2024, among other projects we started a quarterly magazine to spread the word about what a treasure North Carolina really is.

The NC Gold Heritage Journal premiere issue arrived in October 2024. This issue will give you an inside look at how the NC Gold Foundation was formed, the NC Gold Festival through the years, and what all we have coming up!

Issue I will arrive in January 2025. This issue will take you to 1799 - the very beginning of North Carolina's rich gold history. This is not an issue you will want to miss!

The NC Gold Foundation received a donation of land in 2014. It consists of 12 acres and includes the remnants of an original 1800s stamp mill, and Nichols Mine. Some of our goals this year are to make this land appealing as a family area where they can go for a short hike, learn about Vein Mountain's history, and enjoy being in nature together. We have begun the process of making this happen. If you want to help us, check out the Get Involved page.
