5/12 - 5/16 Lord Shadow aka David Williams is one of the founders of Joint Operation Mariposa, gold miner, US veteran, YouTuber, and artist.
Joint Operation Mariposa is a Veterans Advocacy & Outreach Program bringing awareness to the needs of veterans in Sanders County, Montana. One of the ways they support veterans is by doing the physical labor of getting mining material to a location where disabled veterans can easily pan it for gold.
As an avid lover of art, David has painted works of art for 2 sitting presidents and enjoys teaching the craft to school aged children.
Lord Shadow will be visiting WNC and The NC Gold Foundation at The Lucky Strike on May 12 - 16. Veterans, gold prospectors, and school groups (homeschool groups too of course!) are all invited to come hang out with us and Lord Shadow that week to learn about gold mining, the veteran advocacy program, and artistry.
It will be a fun and busy week you won't want to miss so join us for gold, art, food, and fun!
5/16 Give your tastebuds a treat the The Golden Pig Cook Out. We will have semi pro backyard Pit Masters serving up some delectable pork and chicken (plus sides) just for you!
Come to eat and fellowship, or get it to go!
Plates are $15 per person (kids 8-13 $10, kids 5 and under are free).
Or stay a bit longer to play a few rounds of Clubhouse Bingo!

6/6 - 6/7 Join us at the 21st Annual NC Gold Festival to celebrate North Carolina's rich gold history with various vendor types including gold mining demonstrations and equipment dealers, food vendors, crafts, and more!
This event has free parking, free admission, free live entertainment, and free bouncy houses!
Don't forget to stop in at the Clubhouse to start or continue your gold/silver collection since the Coin & Currency Show will be returning for another year!
Vendors are still welcome to apply!
